A Real Life-Sized Moving Gundam In Japan!

A Real Life-Sized Moving Gundam In Japan!

Twitter has been blowing up this few days with people sharing videos and pictures of a real life-sized moving Gundam in a factory in Yokohama, Japan. The Gundam is around 60 feet tall, and during a test run, has shown to be able to do simple actions like turning its head, opening its eyes, taking steps, crouching and sitting.

The Gundam was made for the Gundam Global Challenge, announced in 2015, that a real life-sized Gundam that can actually walk was on the works in the anticipation of the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam in 2019.

The Gundam factory was supposed to open its amusement park this October but has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, sadly the opening date has been pushed back to an undetermined date. Gundam Factory's official website states that it will announce a new debut date as soon as it is decided.
