Ace Spin-Off Manga Released!

The manga depicting the early life of Portgas. D Ace's journey as a pirate has been officially released today on September 16, 2020, on the One Piece Magazine Vol.10. It is titled, One Piece episode A. The manga will be an adaptation of the two-volume novel series that was released in 2018.
Boichi, the artist of the popular manga, Dr Stone, will be helming the manga project. He had made his name in the manga industry with his unique style in drawing. He had made a one-shot that followed the One Piece's storyline depicting the fight between Roronoa Zoro and Dracule Mihawk.
The first chapter of the manga comprises of a total of 54 pages including 3 colour pages. Shonen Jump + will also release a part of the story today. Also, in this magazine issue, a 66-page special feature titled, "Recommendations for re-reading One Piece" has been released. It will feature explanations of various hints in the story. It also introduces four mysteries that will be related to the future story, and how the initial concept of "One Piece" came to be.
One Piece novel A, is an official two-part novel series about Portgas D. Ace's journey as a pirate. It is written by Sho Hinata with the supervision done by series creator Eiichiro Oda. The first instalment was released in three parts in the first three issues of One Piece Magazine before being compiled into a volume in April 2018. The second volume was released in June 2018.
The novel was officially translated by VIZ Media and released under the title One Piece: Ace's Story. The first volume came out in May 2020, while the second volume is set to come out in September.
VIZ Media's official description of the novel reads:
"Washed up on the shores of a deserted island at the edge of the East Blue Sea, two men from different backgrounds unite in their shared thirst for adventure. One of them, Portgas D. Ace, will follow in his infamous father’s footsteps as the fearless captain of a pirate crew. The other, Masked Deuce, becomes the reluctant first member of Ace’s Spade Pirates. Survival is not enough for these seafaring buccaneers, as together they seek treasure, excitement, and a route to the New World."
