Gen Sato Is The Latest Addition To Burning Kabaddi Sports Manga!

The official website of TV anime based on Hajime Musashino’s sports manga, ‘Shakunetsu Kabaddi’ (Burning Kabaddi), recently released a statement announcing the latest addition to the cast of this much-anticipated anime.

The glittering admission into the cast of Hajime Musashino’s Burning Kabaddi is Gen Sato. The statement was posted by the website on Tuesday. Gen Sato will be seen playing Sōma Azemichi who is a first-year student in Nokin High School in the anime show. Although Soma has just been playing Kabaddi for a month so far, his body is highly powered given that he has to go through vigorous muscle training every day as his lifestyle is not that comfortable, for his family resides on the mountain top, where they also carry out their pottery business. Henceforth, fans mustn’t mistake his strength for his petite figure.

Other casts of the show include Yūma Uchida as Tatsuya Hoigoshi and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Masato Ohjyo. Burning Kabaddi is a directorial venture of Kazuyi Ichikawa, and is being produced under the productions house, TMS Entertainment which is collaborating with Domerica. Yuuko Kakihara and Midori Gotou are handling the writing of the show, and Mari Takada is designing the characters for the show. The anime show Burning Kabaddi is slated to release in the first half of next April.

The story of Burning Kabaddi, being a sports anime, follows the story of a young college student Tatsuya Yoigoshi, who was once a spectacular soccer player but had to leave his sport after the graduation from middle school. Tatsuya receives an invitation to play an Indian originated contact sport named Kabaddi by Masato Ohjyo, the Kabaddi captain of Nokin High School. Initially, Tatsuya is not in any choice to give it a try for he thinks a sport like Kabaddi is nothing but a mockery to a former soccer player. However, this changes when he actually attends a Kabaddi session and is convinced that Kabaddi is nothing short of being an amazing sport.

The original manga was released via Shogakukan’s ONE manga app in 2015. The series proved out to be a success when it was listed in top 20 manga for male readers in 2017.
