With the latest post by Sony Pictures Entertainment and TOHO of a new teaser for the live-action film of popular game franchise Monster Hunter on Saturday, 3rd October. However, until this teaser, Sony Pictures Entertainment had been stirring the rumours of having the movie arrive in April 2021 for its release in North American theatres. The film was originally scheduled for the release in both American and Japanese theatres on September 4th, 2020 but got delayed till next year’s summers due to the Corona Virus Outbreak.

The film will have a similar storyline that that of the game franchise. Screen Gems describes the story of the film as –

Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.

The ensemble of the cast of the film includes the likes of Milla Jovovich who has led the super-hit Resident Evil film franchise as the main character of Monster Hunter, Tony Jaa who starred in Ong Bak film series and is popular for his martial art skills. Tony will be playing The Hunter, and Ron Perlman will be seen playing the Admiral, leader of Hunter’s crew. With this exciting cast, T.I Harris will be embracing the role of a sniper named Link. The makers have worked discreetly in casting their actors to form up an outstanding company of actors.
